A well-built foundation is the cornerstone of a long-lasting, durable shed. Whether you're building a new shed or upgrading an existing one, ensuring a solid foundation is essential to protect your investment. We specialize in providing top-quality shed pads that prevent rot, ensure stability, and extend the life of your structure. Whether you're looking for a stone pad, or concrete pad- we've got your back!
Our Shed Stone Pad Construction Process
A. Site Preparation
We begin by using the skid steer to grade and level the installation area, ensuring a stable, even surface before building the foundation.
B. Framed Perimeter for Reinforcement
A border made from pressure-treated lumber is installed on top of high-strength woven geotextile stabilization fabric, anchored securely with rebar to maintain shape and structural integrity.
C. Crushed Stone Base
Next, we add clean drainage stone. The stone is carefully leveled and compacted in layers to create a strong, well-draining foundation that resists settling.

That depends on the type of shed you have. If your shed comes with a built-in wood floor, a stone foundation is the best match. However, if your shed has no floor or requires a permanent, heavy-duty surface—like for a garage or workshop—a concrete pad might be more suitable.
We strongly advise against using shed foundation blocks. While they may seem like a quick fix, they often lead to long-term problems such as uneven settling, shifting, and even structural damage. A full shed pad offers continuous support and is much more reliable for the lifespan of your shed.
Yes, we include a high-strength woven geotextile stabilization fabric with every stone pad we install. This helps maintain the integrity of your shed base by keeping the gravel separate from the underlying soil. It also helps prevent weeds from growing through the foundation.
